Los Angeles, Calif. – Nov. 3, 2016 – Adding to its proven team of experienced technologists and business leaders, IT consulting firm T2 Tech Group appointed expert healthcare CIO Paul Conocenti to the position of partner.
Conocenti brings a wide range of experiences to T2 Tech. He has worked as a CIO in complex academic medical centers, integrated healthcare systems, public statewide health information exchange networks, and in NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers and Research Institutes.
Prior to his healthcare work, he managed large IT initiatives in the financial sector. Over a 20-year period, he held national and global IT leadership positions with Merrill Lynch, Citibank, Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse.
With T2 Tech, Conocenti will provide IT strategy, oversight and architecture direction to top clients. Leveraging his extensive healthcare experience, he will also help clients digitally transform their businesses by optimizing technology investments and environments using industry best practices and smart informatics.
“Paul is a proven healthcare IT leader equipped with in-depth operational expertise and a strong technical background,” said Kevin Torf, managing partner at T2 Tech. “His combined abilities are uniquely suited to the nature of T2 Tech’s work, and he will bring considerable value to our esteemed clients.”
Prior to joining T2 Tech, Conocenti held many prominent positions. In his most recent role, he served as CIO at City of Hope, where he provided IT leadership and strategic direction for the organization’s medical center and Beckman Research Institute.
At City of Hope, Conocenti transformed 100 years of paper patient care to digital processes. This transition migrated patient care from paper to a hospital-wide EHR system, which included 100% computerized physician ordering for some of the most complex chemo orders and treatment plans.
The various digital platforms he established were further optimized by the development of a new, modern-day data management platform with self-service analytics. With the new platform in place, the hospital can now better facilitate clinical patient care, population health, translational research and business operations.
Before working at City of Hope, Conocenti served as SVP, Vice Dean and CIO at NYU Langone Medical Center, and as VP and Chief Information Architect for Mount Sinai NYU Health System. He also served as Chair of the Technical Committee for the New York Clinical Information Exchange and Chief Architect for the New York eHealth Collaborative.
By bringing his expertise to T2 Tech, Conocenti adds his skills to a diverse team of experienced engineers, project managers and technology leaders.
