REDONDO BEACH, CA – March 1, 2013 — T2 Tech Group, a leading provider of information technology consulting services, announced that QueensCare Family Clinics (QFC) has selected T2 Tech to lead the QFC enterprise IS infrastructure and electronic health records (EHR) optimization project. The award of this project is the direct result of T2 Tech’s successful engagement with QFC to provide an assessment of their IS infrastructure and staff. Once completed, this effort will bring QFC’s IS infrastructure and operations to industry best practices and allow for the expansion of their mission critical EHR system. This system supports clinical operations at six clinic locations throughout the Los Angeles metropolitan area with over 138,000 patient visits each year.

T2 Tech will provide IS operations management, design, engineering, EHR configuration, operational workflow re-engineering, and project management services for this strategic QFC initiative. To ensure that QFC’s IS staff can successfully support their new information technology capability, T2 Tech will also provide transition and training services.

To begin, T2 Tech will oversee the redesign and remediation of QFC’s data center, network, server, storage, back-up, and security systems in order to enhance the reliability, security, and capacity of QFC’s IS environment. This effort includes the development and implementation of best practices, IS operational processes, and management/monitoring systems to enable the proactive management of their mission critical IS operations environment.

The second phase of this initiative is the optimization and reconfiguration of the Vitera Intergy EHR and Medical Manager Practice Management System that was first implemented at QFC in 2007. This effort will begin with the identification of opportunities to improve QFC clinic operations workflow processes through features in the latest versions of the Vitera software suite. The strategic objectives of this phase are:

  1. Improvements in patient satisfaction, quality of patient care, and clinic throughput.
  2. Optimization of charge entry, coding, billing, and operational management reporting capabilities.
  3. An established foundation for QFC’s 2014 conversion to the ICD-10 code set and Stage II Meaningful Use certification.

T2 Tech is excited and grateful for the opportunity to continue building a long-term relationship with QueensCare Family Clinics and support their mission of serving the underserved in the Los Angeles area.
