Leigh Sleeman
Leigh Sleeman is an experienced senior IT program manager with over 17 years of experience in healthcare information technology. Throughout his career, Leigh has seamlessly transitioned business needs into technical requirements, forged excellent relationships with executive leaders, functioned as a primary IT liaison, and directed teams of high-caliber senior project managers. He is acknowledged as a visionary leader for hospital IT infrastructure projects involving new construction, network upgrades, and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) workflow evaluation and design.
In 2012, Leigh joined T2 Tech Group™ as Program Manager. In 2018 he assumed the title of Partner based on his leadership qualities and successful management of healthcare IT projects. Since joining the firm, he has championed multiple projects for several health systems including Kootenai Health, located in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. These projects include a virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) initiative, a major storage area network (SAN) upgrade effort, and the implementation of a consolidated user sign-on platform. Leigh continues to prudently manage a $15-million IT budget and cultivate strong relationships with healthcare leaders.
Leigh launched his career in 2000 by joining UCLA Health and taking on a series of responsibilities, culminating in the role of Manager of IT Program Management Office (PMO) in 2010. From 2010 to 2012, he managed a six-person project-management team tasked with designing, procuring and implementing sophisticated technologies to support an expansion of UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica. For this expansion to bring an advanced outpatient surgical center online, he successfully coordinated over 25 IT projects, implementing new technologies in the main facility while simultaneously balancing vendors and resources.
From 2007 to 2010, Leigh served as Program Manager, Transition Planning IT for UCLA Health. He was asked to take over the design and implementation of IT infrastructures for the new 520-bed Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, as well as the 270-bed UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica. He successfully orchestrated all IT activities and administered a $60+ million IT budget.
From 2002 to 2007, Leigh held the position of Project Manager within the Transition Planning IT Group of UCLA Health. In this role, he planned and supervised numerous department-relocation initiatives and coordinated several PC-refresh projects. Leigh was initially hired at UCLA Health as a technical lead for the desktop support group in 2001.
Leigh earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical and Pastoral Studies from Newbold College in Reading, UK and a Master of Arts degree in Theology from the University of Wales in Lampeter, UK. He has also earned a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, signifying him as a professional who is well-versed in the foundational elements of Lean Six Sigma methodology.
