T2 Tech Group has been a very active participant with the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). Over the past few years, we’ve sponsored conferences with the organization, hosted several educational panels and delivered a lecture on rethinking patient engagement. Our involvement with the association gives us a chance to share and hear perspectives on the mission of improving overall care through the effective use of IT.
I am pleased to announce, I will be speaking at two upcoming HIMSS chapter events covering the value of data in healthcare today: the Future of Healthcare in Washington conference and the SoCal HIMSS Annual Healthcare IT Conference. Big data management, the associated governance, and the technical infrastructure behind it are areas of special interest to me. For these events, I look forward to sharing lessons learned from my leadership roles at City of Hope, NYU Langone Medical Center and other respected healthcare organizations.
Event Information
At the Future of Healthcare in Washington, I will be leading a breakout session on data management for the HIMSS Washington Chapter. At the conference, I will share insights learned from overseeing a hospital-wide EHR implementation. I will also cover my team’s work to optimize the EHR with a data management platform.
- This event will take place on March 24 at 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. It will be held in the Harry Blencoe Auditorium at Renton Technical College: 3000 NE 4th St. Building C, Renton, WA 98056.
The SoCal HIMSS Annual Healthcare IT Conference takes place in downtown Los Angeles. Under the theme of value-based care, it will explore strategies, telehealth, quality driven vs. quantity driven care, and big data. Like my presentation in Washington, the panel I am set to moderate for the SoCal HIMSS will cover how HIT leaders with different perspectives are leveraging big data to promote value-based care.
- This event will take place on March 28 at 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. It will be held at the California Endowment Center for Healthy Communities: 1000 Alameda St., Los Angeles, CA 90012.
I look forward to these events and the chance to learn from my peers. If attending, please reach out, so we can reconnect. See you there!
